About The Hue Gallery

The Hue Gallery is a contemporary art gallery with a focus on Black artist, culture and community. Located in downtown Hartford Connecticut, we exist to amplify exceptional contemporary art while creating meaningful opportunities for artist and deeper connections between art and the people who experience it.

Inspired by our experiences navigating traditional art spaces, we envisioned a gallery that feels welcoming, culturally relevant and community centered. Through thoughtfully curated exhibitions, cultural programming, music and educational events, we create an environment where contemporary art is not solely viewed, but experienced.

The Hue Gallery is more than an exhibition space. It’s a cultural mecca dedicated to fostering dialogue, supporting artist, and building the next generation of collectors and creative community.

Our Vision Statement

To Establish The Hue Gallery as Connecticut’s leading contemporary gallery centered on Black artist and culture. We aim to create an inclusive space where exceptional contemporary art, cultural exchange and community thrive. We believe art has the power to preserve culture, inspire conversation and build lasting connections between artist, enthusiast and collectors across all backgrounds.

Owner #2, Creative Director and head of Experience and growth, is a photographer and creative visionary known for building immersive worlds through imagery and atmosphere, leading the gallery’s brand identity, marketing, and public facing experience. While shaping exhibitions into dynamic environments and producing cultural programming such as open mics and jazz nights.

Owner #1, Artist Director is a mixed media painter, art collector and dealer who’s work, and practice are rooted in an exploration of black art, identity and contemporary culture.
