Laila Phillips
Artist Statement
"I've been intrigued by cubism and sharp movements in art, for a while. From the poses to many face shapes. Lately, I've been exploring colors and creating deeper stories in some of my pieces. What started out as yearning, in a sense, to find my own style in art, became a need to go within, and in time, bring out these emotions, experiences, and ways of life that many of us may encounter in this journey of life, then formulating them into art. Blending analogies that introduce to us, the idea of making space for healing or just the existence of ourselves in this time." - Laila Phillips FKATHECREATOR

Laila Phillips (FKA THE CREATOR) is a self taught abstract painter currently residing in Georgia, US. Laila's art is heavily influenced by the formation of self, the free flow of it all, and sometimes indescribable emotions that she and so many of us may feel. Laila's painting styles typically align with abstract; cubism, figurative line art, and even cartoon street art portraiture.
She hopes to continue to make art that tells us about the individual, appreciating self, and truly being who you are in the midst of your experiences.
